About Me (English)

I am Mohammad Kabirian, born on August 17, 1996, in Isfahan, Iran—an ancient city where art, poetry, and architecture shaped my earliest encounters with beauty. Today, I am an independent filmmaker and photographer based in Paris. My work moves between cinema, theatre, and photography—three languages that allow me to capture the fragility, intensity, and beauty of human experience.

With over six years of experience creating short films, documentaries, and music videos, I weave emotion and depth into every frame. After graduating in Film Studies from Sepehr University (Iran, 2020), I continued my journey in France, where I now pursue a Master’s in Theatre, Performance & Societies at Université Paris 8. Theatre has opened new horizons in my creative practice, allowing me to imagine the stage as an extension of the cinematic lens.

My artistic vision is inspired by Ingmar Bergman’s existential cinema, Samuel Beckett’s poetic minimalism, Bahram Beyzaie’s theatrical mastery, and Asghar Farhadi’s piercing realism. In photography, I follow the raw humanity of Peter Lindbergh and the timeless eye of Henri Cartier-Bresson.

From Iran to Paris, the road has been difficult yet transformative. Each step has shaped my identity as an artist: one who seeks to dissolve boundaries between image and performance, and to tell stories that reveal resilience, humanity, and hope.

Je m’appelle Mohammad Kabirian, né le 17 août 1996 à Ispahan, en Iran—une ville ancienne où l’art, la poésie et l’architecture ont façonné mes premières rencontres avec la beauté. Aujourd’hui, je suis cinéaste et photographe indépendant basé à Paris. Mon travail navigue entre cinéma, théâtre et photographie—trois langages qui me permettent de saisir la fragilité, l’intensité et la beauté de l’expérience humaine.

Fort de plus de six ans d’expérience dans la réalisation de courts-métrages, de documentaires et de clips musicaux, j’entrelace émotion et profondeur dans chaque image. Diplômé en études cinématographiques de l’Université Sepehr (Iran, 2020), j’ai poursuivi mon parcours en France, où je suis actuellement en Master Théâtres, Performances et Sociétés à l’Université Paris 8. Le théâtre a ouvert de nouveaux horizons dans ma pratique, me permettant d’imaginer la scène comme une extension de l’objectif cinématographique.

Ma vision artistique s’inspire du cinéma existentiel d’Ingmar Bergman, du minimalisme poétique de Samuel Beckett, de la maîtrise théâtrale de Bahram Beyzaie et du réalisme incisif d’Asghar Farhadi. En photographie, je me nourris de l’humanité brute de Peter Lindbergh et du regard intemporel d’Henri Cartier-Bresson.

De l’Iran à Paris, le chemin a été difficile mais profondément transformateur. Chaque étape a façonné mon identité d’artiste : celui qui cherche à effacer les frontières entre l’image et la performance, et à raconter des histoires révélant la résilience, la beauté et l’humanité.
